The Best Halloween Fluffy Monster Slime Recipe

What You’ll Need
Our Halloween fluffy monster slime recipe is a twist on our classic fluffy slime recipe, which is a hit all year long! You’ll need a handful of simple ingredients, many of which you might already have at home:
- 3 generous cups of foam shaving cream
- 1/2 cup Elmer’s School glue
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1-2 tablespoons Contact Lens Solution (make sure it contains boric acid or sodium borate): We used Bauch+Lomb Renu
- Food coloring
- Halloween Confetti and Glitter (Optional to add extra sparkle!)
- Mixing bowl and spoon
Instructions
1. Add the Shaving Cream
Start by adding about 3 generous cups of shaving cream to a large mixing bowl. Go wild with it. This is what makes your slime so fluffy!

2. Add the Glue
Next, pour in your 1/2 cup of white glue. Stir it well with the shaving cream until everything is combined. It’s still going to be light and puffy at this stage, which is exactly what we want.

3. Baking Soda Time
Now, sprinkle in the 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. This helps firm up the slime and keeps it from being a sticky mess. Stir it into the mixture evenly.

4. Add Some Monster Magic
Now it’s time to bring your slime recipe to life! Add a few drops of green food coloring (or orange, purple, or whatever your monster’s favorite color might be!). Stir until evenly colored.

5. Add the Activator
Slowly pour in 1 tablespoon of contact solution. Start stirring, and you’ll see the slime start to pull away from the sides of the bowl. It’ll start to look like actual slime instead of a pile of fluff.

6. Knead the Slime
Now for the fun part. Time to get your hands in there! Grab the slime and start kneading it. At first, it’ll be sticky, but keep going. The more you knead, the stretchier and less sticky it becomes. If it’s still too sticky after a few minutes of kneading, add a few drops of contact solution until it’s just right.
Pro Tip: Rub a little contact solution on your hands before kneading to help keep it from sticking to your fingers!

7. Time To Play!
Let your little ones stretch it, squish it, and swirl their spooky monster slime. This is a great time to toss in some Halloween confetti, plastic spiders, or a handful of googly eyes to give your slime some monster sparkle!

How to Store Your Halloween Fluffy Monster Slime
Once you’ve got your perfect Halloween Fluffy Monster Slime recipe, you’ll want to store it right so it doesn’t dry out. Pop it into a zip-top bag or any airtight container. It’ll stay fresh for a few weeks if stored properly.
One little note, fluffy slime doesn’t stay fluffy forever. After about a day, the shaving cream will start to lose its puff. Don’t worry though, it’ll still be stretchy and fun to play with!
