Chickpea Sensory Foam Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Mixing Spoon
  • 1 Hand Mixer
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Sensory Bin or Container

Materials

  • 2 cans chickpeas
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • Food coloring optional

Instructions

  • Strain the chickpea liquid (aquafaba) into a mixing bowl. Set aside chickpeas for another use.
  • Mix in 1 tsp of cream of tartar.
  • Use a hand mixer on high speed for 4 to 5 minutes until soft, fluffy peaks form (like whipped cream).
  • Gently mix in food coloring. For multiple colors, divide the chickpea sensory foam into bowls and dye separately.
  • Transfer chickpea sensory foam into the sensory bin. Let them play!
