What You’ll Need

We used our fluffy slime recipe to make this Valentine’s Day fluffy slime, which is a hit all year long. You’ll need a handful of simple ingredients, many of which you might already have at home:

Instructions

1. Add the Shaving Cream

Start by adding about 3 generous cups of shaving cream to a large mixing bowl. Go wild with it—this is what makes your slime so fluffy!

2. Add the Glue

Next, pour in your 1/2 cup of white glue. Stir it well with the shaving cream until everything is combined. It’s still going to be light and puffy at this stage, which is exactly what we want.

3. Baking Soda Time

Now, sprinkle in the 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. This helps firm up the slime and keeps it from being a sticky mess. Stir it into the mixture evenly.

5. Add Valentine’s Flair

This is a good time to add a few drops of pink or red food coloring and stir it in until you get your desired shade. You could also sprinkle in some heart-shaped confetti or glitter for that extra Valentine’s Day sparkle!

5. Add the Activator

Slowly pour in 1 tablespoon of contact solution. Start stirring, and you’ll see the slime start to pull away from the sides of the bowl. It’ll start to look like actual slime instead of a pile of fluff.

5. Knead the Slime

Now for the fun part—time to get your hands in there! Grab the slime and start kneading it. At first, it’ll be sticky, but keep going. The more you knead, the stretchier and less sticky it becomes. If it’s still too sticky after a bit, add a few drops of contact solution until it’s just right.

Pro Tip: Rub a little contact solution on your hands before kneading to help keep it from sticking to your fingers!

We decided to mix things up and make a second batch of red fluffy slime and then we swirled the colors together, similar to the Candy Cane Fluffy Slime we made at Christmas time. It was so pretty!

How to Store Your Valentine’s Day Fluffy Slime

Once you’ve got your perfect Valentine’s Day fluffy slime, you’ll want to store it right so it doesn’t dry out. Pop it into a zip-top bag, glass jar, or any airtight container. It’ll keep fresh for a few weeks if stored properly.

One little note—fluffy slime doesn’t stay fluffy forever. After about a day, the shaving cream will start to lose its puff. Don’t worry though, it’ll still be stretchy and fun to play with!
